
What is sound meditation?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where those attending are 'bathed' in sound waves. These
sound waves are produced using different instruments which are tuned to very specific frequencies.
Everything around us is vibrating at a frequency, whether you sense it or not, sound frequencies can affect us on a cellular level, influencing how we feel. Sound baths help to balance your emotions & relax the mental worries that you experience throughout the day.

During the session
​
You will either lie down on a yoga mat or stay in a seated position, whichever you feel most comfortable. I encourage you to bring blankets and pillows in order to get comfy during class. Start by setting an intension for the class (this might be to recharge or it may be to get past a certain mental block or issue that’s been bothering you) - there are no “rules” to experiencing a sound bath.
We then move onto a guided meditation, helping you settle into the space. Next, I start to play the various instruments for you to enjoy - which usually last between 45 minutes - 1 hour.
To trigger all the senses, I use a collection of essential oils throughout the class which helps to relax you even further, the whole experience is wonderful with the goal of leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed.
